Contractors shall provide all equipment, materials, and labor needed for the drilling, casing, and putting into service of a new well at 732 Potomac Camp Road, Oakland, Garrett County, Maryland. The existing well will be disconnected from service. The Contractor will be required to provide equipment, operators, labor, and materials as needed to perform the work as described below. The Contractor shall supply all labor and materials needed to put one well into service, including a submersible pump and associated appurtenances, including but not limited to wiring and piping, electrical hookup, trenching, and piping for connection to the house's internal plumbing. The well installation and materials shall conform to COMAR 26.04.04 and any other local, state, and federal rules and regulations for the installation of a potable water supply. It is the State's intention to obtain goods and services, as specified in this IFB, from a contract between the selected Bidder and the State. The project goal is to provide a potable water supply to the residence at 732 Potomac Camp Road, Oakland, MD. The project goal will involve, at a minimum, but not limited to, the following: A. Provide access to the well drilling location B. Drill a water supply well and address mine voids, as needed, to provide a potable water supply to the Pritts Residence C. Excavate a trench from the well towards the house and tie-in to existing water supply and electric lines in place from the old well. Install all the appurtenances necessary to connect the well to the house. D. Restore the site to the original, or better, condition.
