The City of Ceres is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed nursery vendors to supply and deliver 1,300 City trees for planting within City parks, streetscapes, and other designated public areas. The intent of this RFP is to secure healthy, high-quality nursery stock that meets City specifications and can be delivered in a timely manner to support the City's tree planting program. As part of its urban forestry and beautification initiative, the City of Ceres is expanding its tree canopy to enhance shade, improve air quality, and provide long-term environmental and community benefits. The City plans to plant 1,300 trees over the coming year, focusing on both replacement of declining trees and expansion into areas of need. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid most closely satisfies the needs of the City and is deemed the most advantageous to the City. The City reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in a bid.
