Site work and paving for a road / highway in Red Lodge, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of October 24th, 2025, the project was awarded to Knife River, but the awarded amount is not available.** SCOPE OF WORK: The successful contractor must: 1. Cut out and dispose old asphalt. 2. Prepare a solid road base utilizing MDT standards. 3. Lay and compact asphalt (B-Mod 6422) and tie into remaining good asphalt. 4. Follow Montana Department of Transportation Asphalt Manual guidelines 5. Provide appropriate traffic control. 6. Repaint the centerline, double yellow solid stripes. Approximately 5311 linear ft of 12 wide road sections (both lanes in some places), or 63,732 square feet of Boyd Cooney Dam Road from the intersection of US 212 at Boyd to where the markings end approximately 2.75 miles from Boyd. Locations are identified with paint starting about 0.6 miles from Boyd intersection just after Rock Creek bridge. For any questions or site inspection call Carbon County Commissioner at 406-446- 1595. Bids will be reviewed for product quality and warranty as well as lowest bid. Successful bidder shall perform the work as soon as weather allows, preference is still fall of 2025 but required completion before May 1, 2026. Carbon County must be given at least 24 hours of notice before work begins Carbon County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or portions thereof.
