IN ORDER TO SUBMIT AN ELIGIBLE BID, CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO GET A COPY OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FROM THREE NOTCHGROUP, INC.****** The project will consist of the installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation control devices, lowering pond water surface (if necessary), establish a staging area, clearing and grubbing of existing trees, brush and other vegetation as necessary, grade the emergency spillway area, construct the new concrete emergency spillway including side walls, underdrains and dissipater blocks, refurbish the primary spillway by lowering each of the four weirs, replace new drain valves, install new trash rack, raise the crest of the dam, and fine grade, seed, and mat all disturbed areas after construction activities have been completed. Provide the OWNER with a topographic survey of all new reconstructed areas, maintain reservoir water elevation until "Approval to Impound" is acquired from the SCDHEC, and finally remove all equipment and materials from the project site. The Owner requires the Project to be Substantially Completed within 240 Calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 270 Calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run. A bid guarantee in the form of a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and acceptable Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The attention of bidders is called to the provisions of the South Carolina State Law Governing General Contractors. No contract will be awarded hereunder to any contractor who has not been properly licensed by the South Carolina or North Carolina Licensing Board of Contractors., The Owner will not consider any bid unless the bidder produces evidence that they are so licensed. The attention of nonresident bidders must be aware of the licensing requirements from the South Carolina's Licensing Board and ensure they meet the necessary qualifications to bid in the State of South Carolina. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed one hundred fifty (150) days from the date of the opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.
