This project requires the contractor to supply all expertise, personnel, equipment and materials for the overlay of the roof at the Josephine County Jail The original roof was installed in 2000, and is a cap sheet built-up roofing system, which is still in place. There are currently two (2) different structural decks, a metal deck and a precast concrete deck There will be no tear off of the existing roofing system. Overlay work for the roof will include surveying and detecting moisture; making repairs where needed; removing, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling existing parapet copings; cleaning existing roof surfaces; and installing the County-selected roofing system. There are 3 different options for bidding on this Roof Overlay Project. Contractors may bid on one type or on all 3 types. Prequalification of Bidders is required. Bidders may obtain a Prequalification Application from Josephine County Facilities Services, 705 NW Dimmick Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526. The class of work for which Bidders must be prequalified is Construction. Prequalification Applications must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on September 26, 2025. This contract is for a public works project subject to prevailing wage rates under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Requests for Clarification must be received by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025.
