Renovation of a water / sewer project in Grants Pass, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The WRP features two UV disinfection systems that use ultraviolet light to kill microorganisms before the water is discharged to the river. The older of the two systems is nearing the end of its useful life and needs to be rebuilt to last into the next decade. The project completed some repairs to the second, older system in FY'23, but a replacement system is needed. This project will accumulate funds to replace the older system in the future. The project is included in the City's 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 29, 2025, project is funded for estimated construction in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
