Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Grants Pass, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Many small park areas have features and amenities that have exceeded their life expectancy. Small parks include beautification areas, mini (pocket) parks, neighborhood parks, and most of our special use areas. Small park projects are typically not eligible for Lodging Tax dollars as they do not usually support events, activities, or amenities that bring visitors beyond 50 miles. In FY'26, funding will be utilized to rehabilitate the Gilbert Creek softball field, install a new multi-use sport court at Fruitdale Park, upgrade the Westholm Park basketball court, and install small shelters at Fruitdale and Lawnridge parks. The project is included in the City's 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 29, 2025, project is funded in FY2025-2027. Construction is to be determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
