Site work for a water / sewer project in Grants Pass, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The residential areas near Judy and Larch Street were constructed in a low elevation area within the historic river channel of the Rogue River. During large storm events, specifically if they coincide with high river elevations, the stormwater has a hard time receding from the residential areas. A consultant has been hired to design some solutions and the most likely result is a pumped system to drain the area and utilize the existing stormwater infrastructure in Lincoln Road to get the water to the river. The existing stormwater infrastructure in Lincoln Road is undersized for this increased water volume and needs to be upsized as part of this project to accommodate the increased flows. The project is included in the City's 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 29, 2025, per owner, design is almost completed. Design team identified. Construction expected in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
