This project consists of the furnishing and installation of all equipment, labor and materials for a new sanitary lift station in the Town of Schererville, IN. Included in the scope of work is furnishing and installing a new concrete wet well and valve vault, bypass structure, piping and valves in the new wet well and valve vault, buried 8-inch force main, installation of control panel, engine-generator, and pump equipment listed in Appendices I and II, furnishing and installing new junction box and power wiring, from control panel into wet well, concrete duct bank below site roadway, site fencing and gate, site lighting, natural gas connection and equipment between NIPSCO service and engine-generator, control and power wiring between engine-generator and control panel and ATS, bollards, new asphalt site paving, abandoning existing dry pit pumps station, furnishing and installing of 16-inch connection piping between old wet well and new wet well, excavation, sheeting, shoring and dewatering during construction, traffic maintenance and coordination of startup services. The Project Documents may be EXAMINED at the offices of NIES Engineering, Inc., 2421 173rd Street, Hammond, Indiana, 46323, by appointment only . Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, signed copies of Addenda (if issued), Contractor's Affidavit of Compliance with Indiana's Illegal Immigration Law and satisfactory bid security, as set forth in the Project Documents. A certified or cashiers check payable to the Town of Schererville or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Bid security may be retained by the Board for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days for all bidders and not to exceed sixty (60) days for the Bidder given tentative award of Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to provide all required project insurance, per Section 00650 of the Project Specification Manual; and separate Performance and Labor and Material Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount. The Town of Schererville reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Board deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
