LOCATION OF WORK The work is located on Dowling Street between 47th Ave S and 48th Ave S in Minneapolis, MN. A qualified contractor shall install a new 6-inch SDR-11 HDPE pipe in Dowling St between 47th Ave S and 48th Ave S as marked in the Project Drawing. This scope is being bid as a lump-sum project. All equipment, labor, and other items necessary to install the HDPE pipe shall be included in the lump sum. These include, but are not limited to: 1. Permits 2. Saw-cutting 3. Traffic Control and Safety Signage 4. Mobilization 5. Shop Drawings and Submittals 6. Coordination with Minneapolis Water 7. Communicating with neighborhood residents. Any contract(s) resulting from this Request for Bid will not be an exclusive contract and the City reserves the right to hire other contractors, to perform similar work, and seek bids from other vendors. Contractor shall make all reasonable efforts to submit invoices and documentation in an electronic format, such as PDF or other format compatible with City software capabilities, in lieu of paper invoices and documentation, when so requested by City. The installer shall have a minimum of 3 years of experience in this method of construction and have installed at least 5,000 feet of six (6) inch or larger diameter pipe to specified grades. The field supervisor employed by the Contractor shall have at least 3 years of experience, be responsible for all of the boring/drilling work, and shall be at the site at all times during the boring/drilling installation. Evidence of qualifications will be requested after Bid Award. The City reserves the right to cancel this contract if qualifications are not met. All work requested under this Contract shall be placed on a City issued Purchase Order and/or a Work Order number. The City will not pre-pay for service. All questions or request for clarifications must be submitted in writing only to the Buyer by the "Questions Due" date and time listed on the "Call for Bids" document. The only time we can address questions and update or revise the specifications or bid form (if necessary) is before the date and time the bid closes.
