The contractor shall replace eight (8) existing 7.5-ton rooftop package HVAC units at USCG Station Rio Vista with new units capable of both heating and cooling. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation must be provided by the contractor, ensuring compliance with industry standards and applicable regulations. Work must be performed between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized. The contractor is responsible for daily cleanup and restoring all construction areas to their original condition upon completion. Waste materials must be disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. The government will furnish electricity, parking, and laydown areas, but bathroom facilities will not be available for contractor personnel. Tasks include mobilization of equipment and personnel, site preparation for crane operations, removal and disposal of old HVAC units, installation of new units with proper electrical, plumbing, and ducting connections, testing and commissioning of the new systems, site cleanup, and demobilization. The contractor must begin work within 15 calendar days of award and complete the project within 90 calendar days. Acceptance of the completed work will be conducted by designated Coast Guard technical points of contact. As required by FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
