Qualified bidders may submit bids for the Project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Project consists of furniture for the renovation of the existing library that has a lower, main, and upper level. The renovation affects approximately 20,600 square feet and will be completed in three phases. Work will be under three separate prime contracts: Contract G - General Furniture, Contract S - Metal Library Shelving, and Contract C - Custom Furniture. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Furniture will be installed in three phases immediately following the contractor's completion of each phase. Refer to Summary in the Bidding Documents. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. An out-of-state contractor will be obligated to show proof that they are registered with the Indiana Secretary of State to conduct business in the State of Indiana. Bid proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by an executed non-discrimination commitment (as included in the Supplementary Bid Form) and the State Board of Accounts Form 96, as required by the statutes of Indiana. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
