Site work and paving for a civil project in Valparaiso, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of the replacement of an existing bridge with a new three-span bridge. The overall purpose of the project is to replace the existing structurally deficient bridge and improve the conveyance of the East Branch of the Little Calumet River under the bridge. The new superstructure shall consist of a reinforced concrete slab deck. The superstructure shall be supported on reinforced concrete abutments on steel H-piles and extended pile piers. A reinforced concrete bridge approach will be used behind both abutments. New approach roadway will consist of 4 of HMA on 6 of Compacted Aggregate No. 53. The roadway and bridge will be widened to meet current INDOT standards for an Urban Collector Roadway. Drainage improvements include replacement of the existing inlets and piping on the South side of the bridge approach, while curb turnouts will be installed on the north side of the bridge approach. The project will also include demolition and removal of the existing structure and installation of the proposed structure, as well as removal and replacement of existing concrete block wall. The work includes the carrying out of all duties and obligations and the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary or convenient to the successful completion of the project.
