Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.

The project is the design, construction, and equipping of the 2025-2026 Progressive Design-Build Project for Union Township School Corporation in Porter County, Indiana, with work possible at all School Corporation facilities, including John Simatovich Elementary School, Union Center Elementary School, Union Township Middle School, and Wheeler High School. Design-builders are to submit responses to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) that describe their qualifications in accordance with Indiana Code 5-30 and the requirements in the RFQ document. The RFQ includes: (a) A description of the project's size, function, approximate budget, and anticipated schedule. (b) The selection process, communication protocol with the Union Township School Corporation and its Technical Review Committee (TRC), schedule, TRC procedure, and submission requirements. (c) General qualifications for prospective design-builders, including relevant experience, organizational resources, contracting or hiring of minority and women's business enterprises, and history with bonding authorities. (d) Project-specific qualifications, including experience with similar facilities, performance record, team composition, key personnel, and client references. (e) The qualifications statement evaluation process, which follows a rating system per Indiana Code Sections 5-30-5-4 and 5-30-5-5. Responses must include all information mandated by Indiana Code Section 5-30-5-3. The TRC will review and evaluate submissions, recommending to the Board the design-builder considered Highly Qualified and offering the Best Value proposal. The TRC and School Corporation reserve the right to reject any or all responses and to terminate the project prior to awarding the contract for any reason. All communications from prospective design-builders must be directed through the School Corporation's Design Criteria Developer. A pre-submittal conference will not be conducted.
