The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE FROM ALDAN BOROUGH STREETS. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the aggregate cost of the bid proposal, made payable to Borough of Aldan. All bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety in a form acceptable to the Borough Solicitor. The successful Bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding as permitted by law. Bidders may withdraw their bid anytime up to the due date and time. Once the bid closing time is complete, no Bidder may withdraw a bid. Requests for withdrawal of bids due to clerical error will be made in accordance with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Act 4 of 1974 (S.B. 793).
