The WORK of this project consists of rehabilitating 90-inch corrugated metal storm drains that run under S. Tower Road just north of E. Mansfield Avenue with a geopolymer lining. In addition, a portion of the storm drains that are not suitable for rehab will be removed and replaced by a single dual cell box culvert structure. This structure will discharge flows into the Summer Valley Ranch tributary. Work will also include extending the existing channel to the outlet structure and removing an existing Type R-5 inlet and replacing in kind. The design team collected additional data and provided a more detailed rehabilitation analysis. Construction for Summer Valley Tributary at Tower Road includes: Mobilization, traffic control, dewatering, erosion and sediment control, demolition, reinforced concrete pipe, cast in place concrete, geopolymer lining, utility coordination, asphalt paving, concrete sidewalk, restoration and other miscellaneous items.
