Renovation of a municipal facility in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reference Number 0000398507 Scope of work includes selective demolition to create a new cased opening between the Jury Assembly Room and Break Room, including removal of the existing partition, installation of structural header, and framing/finishes to match adjacent construction. Renovation of the coffee/kitchen area to achieve ADA compliance, including installation of new base and wall cabinets, solid surface countertops and backsplash, accessible sink, associated plumbing modifications, and provision of a bottle-filling station. Demolition and reconstruction of two single-user restrooms to meet current ADA standards, including expansion of existing footprint required to meet ADA clearances. Additional work includes security camera system upgrades, fire alarm devices as per code requirement and replacement of break room flooring. Infill of existing break room entry/exit door opening and integration with existing wall construction to maintain finish continuity. Work not specifically called for, but necessary to perform the contract work will be considered incidental to the contract whether specifically detailed or not. Original bid bond does not have to be delivered to the City; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time. The Contract Documents require that all work be completed by May 26, 2026 after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $1,000.00 per day. The estimated cost for this project ranges from $200,000.00 to $230,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City of Aurora reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to accept that bid which is considered to be in the best interest of the City.
