DISCLAIMER: ALL QUALIFIED BIDDERS/CONTRACTORS INTENT ON SUBMITTING A BID PROPOSAL FOR THIS PROJECT ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THEIR COMPANY WITH, AND OBTAIN ORIGINAL BID DOCUMENTS FROM, FRAYTAK VEISZ HOPKINS DUTHIE, PC (FVHD) ARCHITECTS-PLANNERS, 1515 LOWER FERRY ROAD, TRENTON, NEW JERSEY 08618, (609) 883-7101 A. The Work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. The Scope and Objectives of the HVAC Work of this Project include, but not limited to: a. Selected removals of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation , valves, coils, controls and accessories. b. Package rooftop units with dx cooling; c. Gas-fired make-up air units; d. Air handling units; e. Heating and ventilating units; f. Split systems; g. Return air fans; h. Ductwork; i. Piping, valves and accessories; j. Ductwork and piping insulation; k. Testing, adjusting and balancing; l. Automatic temperature controls; m. Owner training; n. Preparation of coordination drawings; o. Preparation of as-built drawings in AutoCad format; p. Periodic inspection of completed work to confirm compliance with Bid Documents. 2. The Scope and Objectives of the Plumbing Work of this Project include, but not limited to: a. Selected removals fire pumps, controllers, piping, valves and accessories. b. New fire pumps and a fire pump controller; c. Jockey pumps and jockey pump controllers; d. Sprinkler piping, valves and accessories. e. Owner training; f. Preparation of coordination drawings; g. Preparation of as-built drawings in AutoCad format; h. Periodic inspection of completed work to confirm compliance with Bid Documents. 3. The Scope and Objectives of the Electrical Work of this Project include, but not limited to: a. Selected removals of electrical equipment and devices; b. Disconnect existing duct mounted smoke detectors; c. Furnish new duct mounted duct detectors to HVAC Contractor for installation. Connect duct detectors to existing fire alarm system; a. Provide new CO detectors as required. b. Owner training; c. Preparation of coordination drawings; d. Preparation of as-built drawings in AutoCad format; e. Periodic inspection of completed work to confirm compliance with Bid Documents. 4. Renovation work related to the HVAC Work incudes: a. Sitework, site restoration, repairs to bituminous paving, sitework concrete; b. Roofing repair work, miscellaneous structural steel, metal roof decking, roof accessories; c. Fire safing, fire stop work Bids will be received for: Single Overall Contract (DPMC: C032 with C009, C029, & C047) All Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by October 2, 2025, and sent to info@fvhdpc.com, or fax to 609-883-2694 or via common carrier to the Architect at the address indicated above. All correspondence must include the Architect's Project Name and Project Number referenced. Any Bid received after that time shall be rejected. Bid Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid number on the outside of the envelope and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000; and must be delivered to the above place on or before the hour named. The Board of Education and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. If the bid exceeds $20,000, bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), in the above-listed classifications prior to the date that bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of New Jersey statutes not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualification/Classification Certificate may be rejected as being non-responsive to the bid requirements. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-25, each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44(b) all contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities in the bidding in accordance with applicable law.
