This scope of work outlines the painting requirements for doors, door jambs, painted concrete, bare concrete, mounted utilities and painted corrugated metal surfaces. The objective is to ensure high-quality surface preparation and application of specified paints and coatings per the substrate. All colors should match currently painted portions of the Tacoma Dome. Paint Codes will be supplied. The City reserves the right to cancel the contract for any reason, by written notice, as stipulated in the contract. If a payment and performance bond is stated herein, the required bond including power of attorney, will be 100 percent of the Contract total and is subject to the following requirements. Each bid for construction must be accompanied either by a certified or cashier's check for 5 percent of the total amount bid, including tax, payable to the City Treasurer, or an approved bid bond, by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Washington, for 5 percent of the total amount bid. The person legally authorized to sign the bid must sign all bid bonds. The approved bid bond form attached to these Specifications should be used: no substantial variations from the language thereof will be accepted.
