The Work of This Contract Includes, but is Not Necessarily Limited to the Following: Roadway Reconstruction of West Lake Avenue & Forsyth Street Consisting of Pavement Reconstruction Including Approximately 4,085 Sy Varying Depth Milling; Gravel Base Course; 100 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt Base and 536 Tons Surface Course; 1,056 Lf Concrete Curb and Gutter Reconstruction; 262 Lf Concrete Vertical Curb Reconstruction; Traffic Striping; and All Work Necessary and Incidental Thereto. No oral interpretation shall be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer and shall be postmarked at least ten (10) days before the established date for Bid opening. The Engineer will arrange addenda, which shall become part of the contract, all pertinent questions received and his decision regarding each. Prior to the opening of the Bids, a copy of these addenda will be sent to each of those who have obtained a set of the Contract Documents from the Engineer. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the Form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an Amount Equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the Full Amount of Each Contract Bid, Not to Exceed $20,000. The Borough Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or to Reject Any and All Bids, if It is in the Public Interest to Do So.
