The work includes the removal and disposal of approximately 144 linear feet of existing storm drainage pipe and storm drainage manholes, installation of 144 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) Class 52 with storm sewer manholes, installation of a WaPro inline check valve, unclassified excavation, permanent pavement restoration, site restoration, and all related work. Each proposal must utilize the forms provided in the contract documents and be enclosed in a sealed envelope showing the name of the bidder, address, and project name. Submittal procedure deviations may result in rejection. Bids must include all required materials specified under "Instructions to Bidders," be complete in ink, and be enclosed as specified. Incomplete or improperly submitted bids may be considered informal. Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a bid bond or certified check for an amount equal to ten percent of the total contract bid, not to exceed $20,000, made payable to the Borough of Bay Head. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with specified equal opportunity employment requirements, prevailing wage laws, and disclosure of ownership. The Borough reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any and all bids in the public interest.
