Renovation of a stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.

The City of Nashua is seeking Bids from qualified firms for the design and installation of an automatic fire sprinkler and alarm system to replace the current fire suppression system at Holman Stadium. Completion times for the project will be as follows: Substantial Completion shall be by April 15, 2026 Final completion shall be May 1, 2026 Deadline for Bidder Questions Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm Liquidated damages of $250 for each working day will be assessed for delays beyond the established dates for substantial completion and final completion. The City of Nashua, through the Mayor, who is the awarding authority, reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts of bids; to waive any defects, information, and minor irregularities; to accept exceptions to these specifications; to award contracts or to cancel this request if in the Citys best interest. A bid guarantee from each bidder equivalent to 5% of the bid price. The "bid guarantee" must consist of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument accompanying a bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified. Successful Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all obligations under the Contract Documents. These Bonds shall remain in effect at least until one year after the date when final payment becomes due, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations or by the Contract Documents. Successful Bidder shall also furnish such other Bonds as are required by the Contract Documents. When Successful Bidder delivers the executed agreements to the City, Successful Bidder shall also deliver to the City such Bonds as may be required to furnish. Inquiries must be submitted in writing, citing the IFB title/number, Page, Section, and must be received to city of Nashua 229 Main Street, Room 11,Nashua, NH 03060 purchasing@nashuanh.gov The project area includes 67 Amherst St Holman Stadium. The project entails the removal and disposal of the current fire suppression system piping installed in 2001. The chosen vendor will also design, order and install a new dry sprinkler system and alarm system. All work shall be scheduled and completed during the stadium's off-season to ensure no disruption to facility operations. Project Elements. 1. Draft Fire Suppression and Alarm System Design Plan. o Prepare a preliminary plan of the fire suppression and alarm system for review with the City team including Building Safety, Fire Marshalls Office and Parks Department. o A nitrogen system will be the preferred system to install. o Plan shall include any and all related construction 2. Final Plan o Prepare Final Plan and applications for applicable fire sprinkler permit, buildings permit and electrical permits as applicable. 3. Construction through Issuance of Final CO o Install Fire suppression and alarm system, including any related construction/rehabilitation to building. o Installation of a nitrogen generator to prevent internal pipe corrosion and extend the service life of the new system. o Complete all inspections for project per fire sprinkler permit and building permit. 4. Scope of Work. o Shut system down & drain on a daily basis o Remove & replace all existing pipe, fittings, couplings, gaskets, sprinkler heads, etc. on a piece by piece basis so as to not leave any portion of the system down overnight o All pipe 2" & smaller will be sch 40 black with cast iron fittings o All pipe 2 1/2" & larger will be sch 10 galvanized pipe with orange flush seal couplings & victaulic fittings o Relocate 4" main under the bleachers on field level to lower end & orient it so that all risers drain back to the main o Pitch 4" main from center out to each end & run pipe for a low point into the dugout o Install new drum drip heater cabinet AGF model 5500a automatic drain quantity x 2 to be located in each dugout o Remove existing standard pressure dry pipe valve quantity x 2 o Install new victaulic model S-768 4" dry pipe valve pre-trimmed with butterfly control valve quantity x 2 o Install new General nitrogen generator model NGP-1000D-M3-6A-50 quantity x 1 o Install new amd-1 regulated air maintenance device for each dry pipe valve quantity x 2 o Install new general model BGP-PV-1 manual purge vent for each dry pipe valve quantity x 2 o Remove & replace all existing dry pendent sprinkler heads (to be custom ordered during replacement process) o Remove existing inspectors test valve assemblies, install new one for each dry pipe valve quantity x 2 o Provide licensed electrician to complete all electrical connections on fire alarm, nitrogen generator & drum drip heater cabinets o Provide electric scissor lift rental & delivery for length of project o Provide material removal/pickup throughout entire process o Provide engineering, record drawings & fire permit o Complete hydrostatic test on the fire department connection piping, maintaining a pressure of 150 PSI for 2 hours
