The City is requesting proposals from qualified landscape architect firms to redesign Lion's Park playground and park infrastructure upgrades. At the core of the project, the playground is need of replacement. Initial public engagement has suggested the community would like to see a mix of traditional and naturalized play elements, allowing visitors to experience a connection to nature. The park is also in need of an updated irrigation system, new pavilion, improved accessibility and drainage. The scope of the project includes two detailed concepts for initial public engagement and construction documents for the selected concept. Construction is anticipated to begin Q4 of 2026.
