Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Golden, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Formalize and improve the Tony Grampsas Memorial Park Parking Lot with an alternative bid schedule for the Salvia Street Improvements. Major items of Work will include items listed that may not be all inclusive or necessarily in chronological order of project sequence. Question Deadline 11/26/2025 at 5:00 PM MT Response Submission Deadline: December 12, 2025, 5:00pm online question deadline All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted by electronic correspondence or in writing. Interpretation or clarifications considered necessary in response to such questions will be issued only by Addenda. Questions received less than four (4) days prior to the date for opening of the Bids may not be answered. Only responses to questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Completion of contractual obligations, including bonding and insurance requirements and applicable permitting. Mobilization, installation and removal of temporary facilities, materials storage area, erosion control best management practices, power measures. Clearing and Grubbing, including protection of existing trees and structures to remain, removal of designated trees, demolition of existing site structures to be removed, asphalt removal for new concrete curb/sidewalk, removal of existing turf grasses as applicable, removal of existing site lighting, and other miscellaneous removals. Ancillary project requirements, such as construction staking, traffic control, etc. Grading/earthwork and topsoil salvaging and placement. Site pavement improvements which include subgrade preparation, asphalt patching, concrete curb, gutter, sidewalks and curb ramps, and crusher fine pedestrian paths. Site Lighting, including electrical. Drainage improvements including storm inlets and collection piping, detention pond improvements (modifications and new construction), piping, etc. Site Improvements, including dumpster enclosure. City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, to require new Bids, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids. Also, City reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder if City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by City. Discrepancies in the multiplication of units of Work and unit prices will be resolved in favor of the unit prices. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum. Finish grading and soil prep, dryland grass seeding, bluegrass sod, installation of trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, ground covers / perennials, installation of shrub bed mulch and shrub bed edging, and installation of associated irrigation systems. Project close-out and clean-up requirements and warranty of improvements. Any and all Work awarded will be to one Contractor. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract, and insurance as described in the Bid Documents. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The City reserves the right to award the contract by sections, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. All Bidders agree that damage or claim shall not be brought by any Bidder because of rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the City because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute a binding agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. All Bids shall be prepared and submitted to City at the Bidder's expense, and all Bids become a City record and therefore a public record. It is understood by the Bidder that the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids (including if the cost of the Bid exceeds budgeted funds), or portions of work bid, or to use any of the methods stated in the Instructions to Bidders to obtain the most advantageous bid price. Bidders must bid all items, additive schedules, alternatives, and supplementary unit price schedule as contained in the Bid Form. Bidder understands that the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
