Site work and new construction of a residential development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
In 2021, the City of Charleston purchased a 0.079 acre parcel in the peninsular area of Charleston, SC to facilitate the creation of two affordable homes. The site, located at 52 Kennedy Street, will deliver the construction of two, single-family attached affordable dwellings to an established neighborhood. The City seeks a qualified General Contracting firm to deliver high quality, multi-faceted construction services in an organized, detail-oriented, and timely manner. Project drawings are construction permit ready. All necessary City of Charleston and other agency approvals have been obtained. With the plans in place, the General Contracting firm will oversee and implement construction and delivery of the townhomes Charleston City Council has adopted a policy setting 20% MWBE participation as the goal for this project. Questions must be submitted in writing no later than 2:00pm on September 25, 2025 to robinsonr@charleston-sc.gov.
