The Bedford School District (herein referred to as the District) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide snowplowing at six (6) Bedford school locations, and specific deicing services at McKelvie Intermediate School, Ross A. Lurgio Middle School and Bedford High School. This contract will be for a base year (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026), with two additional years to be awarded at the District's option. The Contractor will plow all parking lot areas at all six (6) District schools, including driveways, playground asphalt areas and traffic/fire lanes. Includes parking lot & sidewalk snow removal & deicing services at Ross A. Lurgio Middle School and Bedford High Schools. Includes sidewalk snow removal & sidewalk deicing at McKelvie Intermediate School. The contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance demonstrating general liability and commercial vehicle liability coverage for bodily injury and property damage of not less than $500,000 each person/$1,000,000 each accident, and workers' compensation coverage as required by state statute. Certificates of insurance must be filed with the Business Administrator prior to beginning work, and shall name the Bedford School District as an additional insured. The District reserves the right to hire equipment other than the Contractor's if the Contractor's equipment does not report ready for service within 3 hours of the time ordered. When such equipment is employed, any expense incurred above the Contractor's contract price shall be borne by the Contractor and such additional expense shall be deducted from any money due the Contractor.
