Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Greenwood, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Greenwood is planning to replace the recreational playground located at Joel Dean Hitt Park. The City was selected as a 2024 grant recipient for the Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant program. The City was officially notified of the grant award on July 15, 2025. The project addresses the need to replace non-ADA accessible play equipment at Joel Dean Hitt Park, commonly referred to as "Hitt Park". The new playground will feature ADA compliant furnishings that meet the physical, mental, and sensory needs of children from ages 2 to 12. The play area site proposed for renovation is an existing playground, rectangular in shape, approximately 80' x 100'. The detailed scope is listed below: Prepare the existing playground area (which is measured as an 80' x 100' area) which would include providing the following: Supply and install a crushed stone sub-base. Provide excavation of area, grading, and site restoration services. Supply and install a 5' wide concrete sidewalk ADA compliant concrete sidewalk. Supply and install a concrete berm (playground exterior border). Supply and install two 20' sidewalk entrances into the playground (ingress). Supply and install a drainage system for stormwater outflow management. Provide and install ADA compliant solid pour-in-place surfacing (to provide a playground border). Provide and install a universally accessible play structure for 5-to-12-year-olds that includes ramps, transfer stations, slides, a climbing wall, a rocking deck, a wave climber, interactive panels, and shade covers. Provide and install a universally accessible play structure for 2-to-5-year-olds that includes a transfer station, interactive panels, a roller slide, and shade covers. Provide and install a swing set which includes a multi-generational swing, a baby swing, and a bucket swing. Provide and install three (3) musical pieces (outdoor musical instruments). Provide and install an all-inclusive spinner (merry-go-round). Provide and install a sensory wave climber. Provide and install benches, including 1 friendship (child size) bench. Provide and install a total of two (2) signs including 1 park sign listing the playground rules and 1 universal ADA sign with a communication board and wayfinding. n lieu of installing ADA compliant pour-in-place surfacing, the City requests all proposers/bidders to please provide pricing for the installation of ADA compliant playground artificial turf. The City is requesting pricing to provide and install a zipline feature (if the feature can physically be placed within the 80' by 100' playground area with proper fall zones, etc.). The City is requesting pricing to provide and install two (2) playground diggers with play sand and separate border (if the feature can physically be placed within the 80' b 100' playground area with proper fall zones, etc.). The City is requesting pricing to add a sensory play area adjacent to the 80' by 100' playground area.
