The project involves the furnishment and installation of a new 24-inch PVC sewer line to replace the existing 20-inch sewer line, which will be abandoned in place. The work includes constructing approximately 1,568 linear feet of 24-inch, 10-inch, 8-inch, 6-inch, and 4-inch new sewer main and laterals and connecting existing sewer laterals to the new line. Eight (8) new manholes will be furnished and installed along the new sewer alignment. Additionally, the project involves re-channeling three (3) existing manholes, abandoning one (1) existing manhole in place, and removing and properly disposing of four (4) other manholes associated with the existing sewer line. This is a re-advertisement of this project. The re-advertisement is a result of no acceptable bids being received previously. There have been no design or scope changes implemented from the original project advertisement. The project begins at the intersection of Wall Street and Eye Street and extends to the intersection of 23rd Street and Eye Street. All work will include necessary traffic control and safety measures during construction, as well as the restoration of pavement as specified in the project plans. The work will adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding community and existing utilities. The order of work shall be to begin construction of the new alignment at 23rd Street and work south towards Wall Street.
