The project consists of removing two 70-ton condensing units and their associated remote evaporator and replacing them with a single 140-ton air cooled chiller, and removing and replacing the existing base mounted chilled water pumps. Work includes modifying the existing chilled water piping, and the electrical and control feeds to the chiller, and pumps. The existing VFDs shall be removed and replaced. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Mattoon CUSD #2. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.
