Question Deadline 09/26/2025 Introduction and Background Henderson County Riverport Authority is seeking proposals from qualified concrete contractors to provide a new reinforced concrete pad for their material handling process. Bidders must be Prequalified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) in work items A. Grade and Drain and B. Portland Cement Concrete Paving. To obtain pre-qualification, bidders may contact the KYTC Division ofConstruction Procurement at (502) 563-3500.1. Mobilization of equipment and materials to site. 2. Excavate roughly 16" of existing stone material to a depth of new concrete pavement subgrade. 3. Salvage stone as needed to backfill new concrete pad. 4. Place 4" of compacted dense grade aggregate for concrete base. 5. Form roughly 3850sf area for concrete per layout dimensions and elevations provided on construction plans. 6. Pour 4500psi concrete, 12" thick with double reinforcement layer of #5 rebars at 12" on center each way. 7. Finish & cure concrete. 8. Remove forms and back fill with salvaged stone to top of concrete. 9. Cut 4"x6" opening in existing sheet pile at low spot for drainage. 10. Sawcut control joints at spacing shown on plan. 11.
