The base bid is $404,000, and the alternate bid is $333,000. The construction of 2025 New Washington Water Main Replacement project consisting of furnishing and installing approximately 1,298 LF of 6-inch water main pipe and 11 service line reconnections (Base Bid), as well as approximately 1,062 LF of 6-inch water main pipe and 13 service reconnections (Additive Alternate Bid #1), with related appurtenances such as ductile iron fittings, etc., together with all related work, as specified and shown on the Drawings. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with Northern Ohio Rural Water within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Northern Ohio Rural Water as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. Event pre bid meeting description: The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the forgoing shall in no way relieve any bidder from any obligation with respect to its bid. Bids from anyone not on the Issuing Office s Plan Holders List will be returned unopened. Northern Ohio Rural Water reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids. Provide all materials, labor, equipment and services necessary to do all clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfilling, providing of additional fill material and topsoil, control of surface drainage and ground water, finished site grading and erosion control required to construct the work as shown.
