The City of Fond du Lac is soliciting quotes for the following work: Remove snow from sidewalks and clear access way from Main Street to the City of Fond du Lac's Police Department Evidence Storage building, located at 371 North Main Street (see attached map), after the cessation of each snowfall, including cross walks and handicapped accessibility ramps. When ice is so formed upon any sidewalk that it cannot be removed, the sidewalk shall be sprinkled with sand, salt or other abrasives in a manner as to prevent the sidewalk from being dangerous for pedestrian travel. The contractor shall be responsible for providing his/her own snow removal equipment. The City of Fond du Lac is seeking quotations on the type and volume of work described on a "per job" payment basis. Any questions can be directed to Dyann Benson, Community Development Director. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. The Contractor shall not commence work under this Contract until he/she has obtained all insurance required under this heading. A certificate of insurance shall accompany the signed Contract and shall be filed with the Risk Manager as proof of such insurance. All insurance premiums shall be the obligation of and shall be paid by the Contractor. Acceptability of Insurers: Insurance shall be placed with insurers who have a Best's Insurance Reports rating of no less than A and a Financial Size Category of no less than Class VI, and who are authorized as an admitted insurance company in the State of Wisconsin.
