As of November 6, 2025, the bid was cancelled. The private owner took care of the demo themselves. The Village of Maryville has obtained a Court Order requiring the demolition of the property located at: 408 Giofre Avenue Maryville, Illinois 62062 We are reaching out to invite your company to submit a formal bid for the demolition of this property. Requirements: All work must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to: Asbestos Inspection and Abatement: o A licensed asbestos inspector must conduct a pre-demolition inspection, as required by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and U.S. EPA NESHAP standards. o If asbestos-containing material is found, it must be properly abated by a licensed contractor before demolition. IEPA Demolition/Renovation Notification: o Contractors must file a demolition notification with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) at least 10 working days prior to starting work, as required under 35 Ill. Adm. Code Part 257 and 40 CFR Part 61 Subpart M. Permits and Compliance: o Obtain and comply with all required Village of Maryville permits. o Follow OSHA safety regulations during demolition. Waste Disposal: o All demolition debris must be properly transported and disposed of at a licensed facility in accordance with Illinois law. o Documentation of disposal shall be provided to the Village.
