Site work for a mixed-use development in Maryville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; and municipal facility.
As of December 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The contractor should assume drilling depths may be as deep as 260 feet. The contractor should assume the possibility of methane accumulations being present and include methane monitoring equipment and an overall site safety plan to accommodate those conditions in the drilling work. It is the responsibility of the contractor to make water available for operations. Water is available on site and may be secured from the village at the contractor's discretion. Excess water displaced from the mine or released from the drilling operations shall be collected on site, decanted of solids, and then evaporated or released into the drainage when meeting EPA guidelines. Water not meeting EPA guidelines for release into the drainage shall be treated to meet the guidelines or removed from the site and disposed of accordingly. It is the responsibility of the contractor to take precautions to avoid damage to known utilities that have been located and marked in the project area. The contractor shall notify the IDNR project engineer immediately of any damage to existing underground utilities, whether marked or unmarked. All costs to repair damage to properly marked utilities are the responsibility of the contractor. All questions or clarifications asked will be shared with all invited to propose on this project regardless of firm asking the question. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive any informality. The final selection made by the Owner will be made pursuant to such terms, conditions, and evaluation criteria as the Owner shall determine, in its sole and complete discretion. The Owner does not guarantee that a contract will be awarded based on the submitted proposals, and the Owner reserves the right to modify the Request for Proposal without notice and award a contract accordingly, if it desires. All fee proposals submitted in response to this RFP shall be firm for a period of sixty (60) days after the date required for submission, unless earlier rejected by the Owner. All requests for clarification or other questions relating to this RFP shall be directed to the attention of the contact noted above.
