The project involves the replacement of the existing bridge carrying S.R. 0092 over Fitch Creek. The project is located in Falls Township (Center Moreland Quadrangle; South 5.9 inches and West 0.35 inches, Latitude 41 28' 03.91" and Longitude -75 52' 38.89"). The structure is skewed 45 (0 to flow). It has a clear span of 12'-0" and the out-to-out width along flow is 35'-7-13/16". The waterway opening is approximately 76.17 ft2, with minimum vertical underclearance is 8'-0". The new structure will be a 9'-0" x 14'-0" single cell, precast box culvert built on the existing alignment with a 45 skew (0 to flow). The out-to-out width along flow will be 63'-0". The culvert will be depressed 1'-0" allowing the formation of a natural stream bed and provide a minimal vertical underclearance of 8'-0". The proposed waterway opening is approximately 112 ft2. The roadway will undergo full depth reconstruction and be widened to accommodate 2-12' lanes with 2-8' shoulders, which will taper to meet the existing roadway template. New guiderail will be installed along the length of the new construction. No drainage structures are required, all stormwater runoff will sheet flow off the road to adjacent swales and Fitch Creek. A 2-lane temporary roadway will be constructed on the downstream side of the existing structure to maintain traffic during construction.
