The project consists of the installation of 107 double arm electrical lighting pole assemblies, 40-feet high and spaced at approximately 154-feet apart within the median of the Parkway, and installation of 2 single arm electrical lighting pole assemblies, 40-feet high at Big Creek Access Road. Estimated quantities for proposed work include: 109 complete double arm lighting assemblies, 2 complete single arm lighting assemblies, 4 secondary risers, 18,750 feet of pull cable in conduit, 109 breakaway connectors, 109 service boxes, 109 breakaway couplings, 2 50kva padmount transformers, 18,750 feet of 2" bore, 18,750 feet of underground conductor, 5,450 feet of pole conductor, and 218 handdigs for service boxes. All work shall follow the current edition of Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted and approved by the Office of State Aid Road Construction, Mississippi Department of Transportation, and Federal Highway Administration. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the referenced drawings. Hinds County may increase or decrease the scope of work, and the contractor will be paid for actual quantities installed. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent of the total bid, made payable to Hinds County. Proposals containing qualifying letters will be considered irregular and not considered for award. The award will be made to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder based on published quantities.
