The City of Jackson will receive sealed Bids for Demolition of Vacant Apartment Building. ANY BID SUBMITTED WITHOUT THE ABOVE INFORMATION MAY BE REJECTED. Question Deadline 10/08/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Any questions should be addressed, in writing, to Montrell Lawrence, mlawrence@jacksontn.gov. Questions must be received by the City Wednesday at Noon prior to the scheduled opening. The structure is approximately 12,000 square feet and is constructed primarily of brick and siding. The building is currently unoccupied. The City will cover cost of asbestos remediation. The scope of the demolition includes, but is not limited to: The structure is approximately 12,000 square feet and is constructed primarily of brick and siding. The building is currently unoccupied. The City of Jackson is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the complete demolition and removal of a vacant two-story apartment building located at the address noted below: Complete demolition of the approximately 12,000 sq. ft., two-story structure. Removal and legal disposal of all building contents, including interior debris, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, etc. Removal and legal disposal of all structural materials including brick, siding, framing, roofing, and foundations. Removal of any asphalt or concrete surfaces on the property, including but not limited to driveways, walkways, slabs, parking areas, and pads. Proper disconnection and capping of all utilities (water, sewer, electric, gas) in coordination with local authorities. Site restoration: Final grading of the lot to a clean, level, and safe condition free of debris or hazards. Straw and seeded lot once demolition is completed. ( A Building Department inspector will review the site restoration to make sure it meets City Standards.) Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations including permitting, dust control, and environmental safety. Award contract will have a 30 day timeline from issuance of permit to complete the demolition.
