The work to be performed consists, in general, of widening the west side of Mt. Ridge Drive between Weeping Rock Way and Lustrous Lane. The street widening includes clearing and grubbing to remove a dirt and debris berm as well as an asphalt concrete path; sawcutting and removing existing hot mix asphalt concrete; coldplaning existing hot mix asphalt concrete; installing new 18-inch diameter reinforced concrete storm drain pipe, including manholes, from an existing catch basin on Versace Avenue, across the park area to a new catch basin on Mt. Ridge Drive; roadway excavation; removing existing roadside signs; constructing type "B" curb and gutter; installing sidewalk; constructing type "A" hot mix asphalt pavement over Class II aggregate base over native ground; modifying existing traffic striping and pavement markings.
