The scope of work includes obtaining demolition permits, site security, utility demolition and removal of the entire 70,000 s.f. building (footings and foundations), draining and excavating the underground diesel tank used as energy backup, material hauling, dumpster rental, landfill costs, site levelling, and site clean-up. Work includes relocation of electrical work to continue support of parking lot lighting and signage after building demolition is complete. The Owner will enter into one contract with the successful contractor, who will be fully responsible for coordination of all required work between all trades. All prices shall be free of all Federal Excise Taxes and State Sales Tax, and upon request of supplier, tax exemption certificate will be executed by the College to the successful bidder to cover all items subject to this tax. All bid proposals, Form 96, 10% Bid Bond and other documents related to this bid must be completed, signed and notarized where indicated. Form 96 requests each bidder to furnish a copy of the company's financial statement with the bid. Other required bidding documents include a Non-Collusive Affidavit, the Supplier Diversity Form, the Indiana E Verify Certificate, the Substance Abuse Policy, the Company's Form W-9, a Certificate of Insurance, and Financial Statements if project exceeds $150,000. Bidders are required to furnish appropriate forms and statements with their submitted bid. The winning bidder will be subject to 100% performance and payment bond as part of the contract required document. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive all irregularities in Proposals. Proposals shall remain firm for sixty (60) days from the date of submission.
