Moffatt Township is now accepting bids for Snow Removal starting with the 2025/2026 season. Included is a list of the different areas owned by the Township that would require snow removal & salting services: (1) Moffatt Township Fire Dept/Twp Offices located at 1590 N. M-76; Alger, Michigan 48610. The Township Hall's concrete/asphalt & gravel parking lot must remain clear of snow as much as possible to accommodate the fire department's unexpected needs and the Township's regularly scheduled meetings. (2) Moffatt Township Recycling Center located at 7790 Newberry Street, Alger, Michigan 48610. The recycling center is open for operation on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 A.M. to Noon. The area should be plowed, and the surrounding areas around the dumpsters should be salted if needed before the service hours. (3) Moffatt Township Cemetery located at 1107 M-76, Alger, Michigan 48610. Families frequent the Cemetery throughout the winter, and all lanes should be maintained when snowfall accumulates 4 inches or more. No salting is necessary.
