Reference Number 0000399658 Question Deadline 09/30/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Questions are submitted online Yes Streetcar P14 Switch Box and Concrete Defect Repair at OKC Boulevard East of Hudson - Pavement Replacement Buyer Requires E-Bonding - Bid Bond 5 % The Maintenance Bond shall be in favor of Awarding Public Agency and shall be for a period of two (2) years in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Failure to submit a required document may be cause for rejection of the Bid. However, the Awarding Public Agency reserves the right to require timely submission of document(s) required in the Bidding Documents. Replace concrete along rail tracks on the OKC Boulevard east of Hudson. Removal of concrete in the vicinity of the switch box and examination of the switch box and other related infrastructure will be undertaken in a separate contract to determine if replacement is needed prior to the concrete being replaced. The following tasks shall be completed by qualified contractors, including track & civil specialists: A. Site Investigation & Analysis 1. Detailed inspection of switch box assembly, including weld joints, casing, and internal components. 2. Verify track gauge and elevation at affected location and compare to design tolerances. 3. Conduct ground-penetrating radar (GPR) or similar testing to evaluate subgrade conditions beneath and around the box. 4. Assess potential additional internal damage to mechanical elements. B. Demolition / Removal 5. Remove failed concrete slab(s) in the immediate vicinity of the switch box with care not to damage the track or utility infrastructure. 6. Excavate around switch box to relieve pressure on mounting hardware and assess for any shifting or settling. 7. Remove damaged EG material, cracked PVC drainage pipe, and buckled electrical box as needed. C. Realignment and Component Repair 1. Realign switch box casing if shifting has occurred. Ensure all bolt holes for cover plates are aligned properly. 2. Replace or repair cover plate hardware and ensure mechanical seal is restored or improved. 3. Replace damaged electrical and drainage components, including PVC drainpipe and any electrical junction boxes. 4. Apply new EG or suitable elastomeric material to seal the perimeter of the switch box and maintain flexibility with movement. D. Concrete Work 1. Place new concrete with attention to jointing, reinforcement, and proper curing times. 2. Ensure track gauge and elevation are held within design tolerance during and after concrete pour. 3. Coordinate with track specialists to ensure switch tolerances are preserved. F. Testing and Commissioning 1. Perform full functionality check of switch system: hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical. 2. Confirm proper drainage functionality 3. Document gauge and elevation readings, concrete pour specs, and final condition of switch box. 4. Submit final report with recommendations for ongoing monitoring or maintenance, if needed.
