Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort Collins, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of the abandonment and replacement of deep well anode beds at the Fort Collins Water Utility Water Treatment Facility. It includes the abandonment of two existing deep well anode beds, drilling of new deep wells near the existing locations, and installation of new anodes, vent pipe, and well backfill material. Each replacement well will be approximately 290 feet deep and include twelve anodes, PVC encasement, perforated PVC vent pipe, anodes, grout seal, sand layer, calcinated coke breeze, and other required components. A test anode must be used to log the wells before placing active anodes. Surface completion will consist of a concrete pad and well cover. Anode wiring will be routed to existing junction boxes; junction boxes and rectifiers will be reused and are not part of the scope, but wiring from the replacement anodes to the junction boxes is included. Restoration of impacted areas is required. Instructions to bidders include requirements for insurance, licensing, a safety standards plan, submission via electronic means, and that the award will be all or none. Bid pricing is lump-sum and includes providing bid documents defining the proposal, though these are not mandatory for bid submission.
