Todd otodd@gilacountyaz.gov (928) 402-8746 Job/Project Description. In January 2025, Gila County identified thatthe site's Leachate Evaporation Pond (LEP) was potentially leaking (Plate 1). After notifying the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and subsequent request by ADEQ to take corrective action, the County is using a two-task process to remediate the LEP at the Russell Gulch Landfill (RGLF). The first task, which will be completed prior to initiating work on this task, requires removing all sediment and materials from the pond. This work will be performed under a separate contract. The second task (the Scope of Work herein) involves inspecting the liner for tears, seam separations, holes, and other defects and patching/repairing the defects. 2.2 Location. The Russell Gulch Landfill is located at 5891 East Hope Lane, Globe, Arizona. 2.3 Scope of Work. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and installation services necessary to inspect, evaluate, and repair the LEP at RGLF located near Globe, Arizona. Following the award of the contract and Notice to Proceed, Contractor shall complete the work in five (5) calendar days following mobilization. 2.4 Optional Scope of Work. At County's sole discretion, Contractor may also be directed to perform the Optional Task of lining the entire base of the LEP to a height of one foot above the base following patching/repair. The optional task shall not be performed unless specifically authorized in writing by the County via change order or other written directive. If authorized, the Optional Task shall be performed in accordance with all requirements of this Contract and completed within the time stated in such written authorization. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, or to waive any informality in any bid, or to withhold the award if deemed in the best interest of Gila County.
