Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Harrison, Arkansas. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Yellville-Summit School District is seeking to acquire the services of an Engineer to provide the necessary engineering services for the design and construction of a school safe room project. The project is contingent upon being awarded funding by a federal domestic assistance grant. The total estimated construction cost of the project is unknown at this time. The maximum amount of funds available for an engineering contract will not exceed the standard percentage of construction costs as determined by funding source administration guidelines. The procedures for the selection of an Engineer will follow the procurement requirements of the Uniform Guidance. All proposals will be evaluated on experience, performance, and capacity, specifically experience with state and federal compliance, planning and designing school safe room projects, field supervision, and procurement of construction contractors by competitive sealed bid procurement. Performance will be judged on timeliness, completion within budget, and quality of work. Capacity will be based on staff assigned, their experience, and time availability. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
