Renovation of a municipal facility in Montreal, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The project consists of redeveloping and modernizing the security office facilities in order to set up a COS (security operations center) that meets the requirements of PSPC (Policy on Government Security; Requirement for the Protection of Equipment, Premises, Assets and Information; Guide for Establishing RCMP Physical Security Zones; Contract Security Manual; Security Requirements for Government of Canada Contracts; any other applicable standards/requirements) and the latest EASI. The office is currently open-plan and is located on the ground floor of the building's main entrance (740 Bel-Air). It includes storage, a workspace, the elevator control panel, key boxes and several electronic devices (telecommunications system, camera system, computer, access system, camera monitors, etc.). The AR2 of the project will have to study, in addition to the Status Quo option, two different design options for this type of space to improve the security of equipment and data, including the addition of partitions and a door to close the space, while reducing the scope of related work (ventilation, fire protection, electrical, etc.) by leaving the space open on top if possible. In brief, the project will consist of closing the perimeter of the security station (walls closed on the side with a locking door) and adding a glass partition at the front with a ticket booth to welcome visitors. The view towards the security camera monitors must also be restricted, as well as the existing storage furniture (to be replaced if necessary). Updated evacuation plans will be required. 1.3.2. See Appendix D (Statement of Work) attached for more details as well as Appendix G - BGIS Project Delivery Guidelines for the Board. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Question Acceptance Deadline Oct 13, 2025 02:00 PM EDT
