Spring plant of approximately 28,000 seedlings over an estimated 23 hectares of small-scale salvage (SSS) blocks, located within the Selkirk Forest District. SSS blocks are small openings (between 1 and 5 ha), which utilize clear-cutting, partial retention, and single-stem harvest systems. As such planting area boundaries may be irregular and mapped areas for reforestation are approximate. All SSS blocks are anticipated to have good 4wd access. Approximate locations of the blocks are distributed across the Selkirk District as follows: o Bench Creek FSR (near Edgewood) o Rover and Midslope FSRs (near Blewett) o Brown Cr. FSR (near Eholt Summit) o Dolan Cr. And Mulvehill Main FSRs (near Revelstoke) Further details as to the scope of this opportunity and the requirements can be found within this RFP.
