New construction and renovation of an educational facility in Kaysville, Utah. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,440-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.

The successful bidders(s) will provide services outlined in the documents:Rebuild Main Green House Davis HS and Refurbish Green House Davis HS. The District will be selecting one of the scenarios. Davis School District reserves the right to determine which of the two scenarios best meets the Districts needs. Question Deadline 10/07/2025 at 4:00 PM MT Davis School District is seeking a responsive and responsible bidder to provide a bid for the Davis High School Greenhouse project. Bidders are to submit alternative bids: one to rebuild the entire greenhouse at Davis High School, and the other to refurbish the existing greenhouse. The District will review the cost of both alternatives and select the most advantageous option. Bids must follow the provided specifications, and if proposing an alternate to the specifications, those specifications must be submitted for review. The District reserves the right to refuse alternatives to its specifications. Bids must be submitted electronically and must include costs for both bid options. The project includes the construction and installation of one (1) Greenhouse with the following specifications: o Dimensions: 30 feet x 48 feet o Sidewalls: Upgraded to 6 feet o Covering: 8MM clear twinwall polycarbonate o Frame: Complete greenhouse frame with trims o Foundation: Posts designed for wet-set concrete piers Standard Package Equipment & Specifications 1. Doors & Frame a. (1) 3'-0" x 6'-8" walk door b. Frame and trims for full greenhouse structure 2. Exhaust & Ventilation a. (2) slantwall exhaust fans with a combined capacity of 18,000-20,000 CFM, capable of providing at least 1 complete air exchange per minute b. (3) motorized intake shutters sized to balance airflow with exhaust fans c. (2) HAF (Horizontal Air Flow) fans, each delivering 1,500-2,000 CFM, for continuous air circulation and uniform climate conditions 3. Heating System a. (1) PTP200 natural gas-fired heater, minimum 200,000 BTU, properly vented, designed to maintain plant-safe temperatures in Utah's winter climate (design temperature 0F) b. (1) heating thermostat 4. Cooling System a. (1) evaporative cooling wall system sized for a 30' x 48' greenhouse, minimum 15-20 linear feet of cooling pad with blower capacity to deliver 18,000-20,000 CFM b. (1) cooling thermostat 5. Environmental Controls a. Heating and cooling thermostats integrated with exhaust, circulation, and cooling wall systems for automatic operation 6. Additional Systems a. Plant tables: sturdy, corrosion-resistant tables suitable for greenhouse use b. Automated/semi-automated watering system to serve all plant tables c. Utilities: water, natural gas, and electrical connections as required 7. Labor & Installation a. Vendor to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for a complete and functional installation The project involves refurbishing an existing 30' x 48' greenhouse, including upgrades to structure, covering, mechanical systems, and interior growing systems. Structural & Covering Improvements o Upgrade sidewalls to 6' sidewalls. o Replace existing covering with 8MM clear twinwall polycarbonate. o Inspect, repair, and reinforce greenhouse frame, including trims. o Ensure posts and foundation are secure; repair wet-set concrete piers as needed. Mechanical Systems & Equipment 1. Doors & Frame a. Repair or replace (1) 3'-0" x 6'-8" walk door. b. Inspect and repair frame trims for full greenhouse structure. 2. Exhaust & Ventilation a. Provide (2) slantwall exhaust fans with a combined capacity of 12,000- 15,000 CFM (able to achieve 1 complete air exchange per minute). Interior & Site Work o Repair or replace plant tables with sturdy, corrosion-resistant models suitable for greenhouse use. o Install or refurbish automated/semi-automated watering system for all plant tables. o Re-route sprinklers, grade and gravel around exterior as needed for proper drainage. o Ensure utilities (water, natural gas, electrical) are functional and safely connected. Labor & Installation o Vendor is responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete refurbishment. o Vendor shall remove and dispose of all unusable or damaged materials from site.
