Renovation of an educational facility in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
1. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the selective demolition scope of work as indicated on the documents and specifications. 2. Provide all permits, fees, and bonds for this proposal's work. 3. Doors must be secured by the end of each work day. 4. Provide floor protection for existing flooring to remain in corridors, classrooms, and Media Center that shall remain in place throughout the duration of the project. This contractor to use Carpet Mask over all flooring and create an 8' wide pathway with Masonite throughout corridors. Include removal of floor protection at completion of project. 5. Provide final broom cleaning upon completion of work. 6. Provide all wall finish demolition as indicated. Do not damage existing substrate. Leave surfaces in a condition to receive the new scheduled wall finish. 7. Provide demolition of ceiling systems as indicated. 8. Provide shoring and all temporary support after demolition. Leave shoring in place until permanent structural support is complete. 9. Provide demolition of existing walls to facilitate new work as indicated. Toilet room walls to be marked out by plumbing contractor. 10. Provide demolition of flooring and mastic as required. 11. Demolish and legally dispose of all items indicated by the documents. 12. Provide dust enclosures and barriers. 13. Provide removal and storage of all items as indicated to be salvaged. 14. Provide daily clean up, removal, and legal disposal of all debris and excess material. 15. Include dumpsters as required for this scope of work. 16. Maintain streets and existing parking lots free from dirt, mud, and gravel. 17. Provide all closeout documents and warranties. 18. Provide Labor Rates per bid proposal Schedule E. Rates are to be used for all extra work on this project and should include all burden, overhead and profit. Question Deadline 10/17/2025 Should a bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omissions from the Contract Documents, or should it be in doubt as to their true meaning, it shall notify the Architect or C.M. at once, or in any case not less than seven (7) days before the proposal due date. Swartz Creek Community Schools will receive firm prime contractor bids for the labor, materials, equipment, and all other services to complete the following Swartz Creek High School Renovation. The envelope bearing your proposal must identify your company, the proposal being bid and addressed to the attention of Ms. Jamie Cowan, Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance, Swartz Creek Community Schools. Each proposal shall be sealed in an opaque envelope and marked with the name of the bidder. A bid bond executed by a U.S. Treasury listed surety company acceptable to the owner, or a cashier's check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal payable to Swartz Creek Community Schools shall be submitted with each proposal in excess of $30,512.00. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond shall be included in each proposal. A copy of the documents will also be available for review at the offices of the George W. Auch Co., 65 University Drive, Pontiac, MI, 48342, 248-334-2000, on or after October 3rd, 2025.
