Renovation of a mixed-use development in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.

The Swartz Creek Community Schools will receive sealed Bid Proposals for asbestos abatement at Swartz Creek Middle School and Swartz Creek High School. Bid proposals will only be accepted for the combined two schools. Bid proposals must be submitted on or before 2:00 P.M. on December 19, 2025, and will be publicly opened immediately following the due date. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walkthrough will be held on December 12, 2025, at the Swartz Creek High School main entrance, progressing to both schools. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by: - A sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder and any member of the Board of Education or Superintendent. - A sworn and notarized statement certifying that the Contractor is not an Iran Linked Business. - A bid bond in the amount no less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bid Proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive informalities or irregularities, or to award the contract to other than the low bidder, at its discretion. The Scope of Work for which these specifications are applicable is that set forth in the Agreement for this project. Abatement Contractor is to provide all items, articles, equipment, operators, or methods listed, mentioned, or scheduled, and incidentals necessary or required for the removal and disposal of asbestos- containing materials at the specified locations within the facility. SCCS provided locations for the scope of work and the subsequent survey areas. EPA certified and Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) accredited Asbestos Building Inspectors performed the survey to locate and sample materialssuspected of containing asbestos. Performance also provided project review, report preparation and consultation services during the course of this project. As part of this study, Performance completed the following: 1) Reviewed the original inspection report prepared by Sierra Analytical & Consulting Services, Inc. and attempted to locate the identified asbestos-containing materials being informed that some materials had been abated; 2) Conducted a survey of accessible areas to locate building materials suspected of containing asbestos; 3) Collected bulk materialsamplesforsubsequent analysis by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM); and, 4) Submitted bulk samples collected during this survey to a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredited laboratory for PLM analysis. Performance assembled the information collected during the study in this report, which details the laboratory results and locations of sampled materials.
