Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is soliciting bids for Plumbing Services - As needed. RTA manages two campuses and four transit centers, encompassing more than 14 buildings with over 733,000 square feet of space. These facilities include the historic thirteen-story Wright Stop Plaza Tower, adjacent properties at 4 South Main Street, Dayton, and various substations and bus stops throughout the system. Background Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is a public transit agency organized pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, serving the greater Dayton area. RTA is Ohio's fourth-largest public transit system, operating a fleet of diesel, electric trolley, and hybrid buses. As one of only five transit systems nationwide operating electric trolley buses, RTA provides transit service across Montgomery County and portions of Greene County through 18 routes. Dayton RTA Responses to Questions:October 21, 2025 All bids and related documents shall be subject to a financial assistance contract between the RTA and the United States Department of Transportation under the Urban Mass Transportation Administration Act of 1964, as amended, terms and conditions established under the Act will apply. All bidders will be required to certify they are not on the U.S. Comptroller General's Consolidated list of ineligible contractors. Manufacturers appearing on said list will be considered ineligible. RTA hereby notifies all bidders that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this procurement, advertisement or solicitation, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. DBE Participation: It is the policy of the Department of Transportation (DOT) that DBEs, as defined in 49 CFR, parts 23 and 26, shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds under this Agreement. RTA welcomes DBE participation regardless of whether there is a DBE requirement.
